Black Bear Lodge

Location, Location, Location! Nestled among magnificent Ponderosa pine trees in the Idaho mountains, this one-of-a-kind, 4-story log home is all about the location! It boasts easy access (a short 3-minute stroll) to a 3-acre private association, white-sandy beach, on beautiful Payette Lake — use of a shared dock with a boat slip. This beach location is highly desirable, as it is less windy on this side of the peninsula, and the sun rises early & sets late, allowing 9+ hours of lake/beach fun!

Located in McCall, Idaho, just a two hour drive north from Boise, Black Bear Lodge offers access to unlimited outdoor recreational opportunities including boating, water skiing, paddle boarding, fishing, hiking, road and mountain biking, and backpacking to high mountain lakes. It's just 14 miles to the local ski hill: Brundage Mountain Resort. Where, during the winter months, sports enthusiasts can go snow skiing (downhill and cross country), snow boarding, snowmobiling and sledding.

The main entrance to this architecturally unique, family cabin is through a log bell tower which opens to a beautiful 4-story atrium. The decor is eclectic Western Americana. 

MAIN 1ST FLOOR - Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchen and Half Bath The large living room has a stone wood-burning fireplace, flatscreen tv and two sets of French doors that open to a large wrap-around deck with gorgeous views of the surrounding forest and Payette Lake. The dining room has a large window seat overlooking the forest. It has access to a side deck with al fresco dining area and a gas grill. The kitchen has a large refrigerator, gas stove/oven, Bosch dishwasher, copper sink, trash compactor, microwave and large pantry. There is a half bath located next to the kitchen. 

2ND FLOOR - Primary with En Suite Bathroom, Guest Room and Full Bathroom The primary bedroom offers a king-size bed, flat screen tv, French doors opening to a small deck that overlooks the forest. The en suite bathroom has a shower and a clawfoot tub. The guest room has a queen-size bed, closet and dresser. The guest bathroom has a shower/clawfoot bathtub combo with a hand-held shower head. 

3RD FLOOR LOFT - Sleeping Areas The vaulted loft is divided into two sections by a wall. One side has 1 queen-size bed and 1 twin bed and a small seating area. The other side has 1 queen-size bed. The loft looks down through the atrium all the way to the basement. 

LOWER LEVEL - Laundry Area, Bathroom, Bunk Room, Family Bedroom, Fireside Bedroom, Cozy Bedroom, and an Open Game Area with Foosball Table. The laundry area has a full washer and dryer. The full bathroom offers a shower/bathtub combo. The bunk bedroom is perfect for sleeping kids or single adults with 4 staggered, twin bunk beds. The family room has a queen bed and two twin beds. The fireside bedroom offers a queen bed. It has a large picture window overlooking an outside porch and the forest. The cozy bedroom is just that, cozy. It has a double bed with a dresser enclosed by 3 walls and a curtain. There is a foosball table in the game area with seating and a cupboard with board games, puzzles, and children's books. 

This cabin is ideal for 2-3 families, comfortably sleeping 15 guests. The entire home and all of the common areas of the private community are accessible, including the beach and the shared dock.
